• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

While on a 3 day vacation in the Cebu province, I happened to do a ride on my 08 WR250 and again, found another cool, small place in the shallow mountains here on Cebu ...And the second location shows a new place of some sort being carved out of a big hill top.

Not alot here but you should be able to get an idea of the life here for so many in the mountains ...

Not sure where I was here exactly as I never carry a GPS when on vacation ... Any devices to me other than my Husky feel like work ...No work when on vacation please... This location was found because of the newly graded road heading off of the main line I was on ...

The end of this road ... You can see the native work going on here AND the cement pouring ...

Here's the ride back up out of this small valley and the ride up to another hill top where a building is happening along with some brush clearing ....

Here's the rolll back off the top ...You can see how vertical the climb was on this one ...

I really like this bike and would like to own another one ...but it sounds way too much like a yamaha ...

Here a few pics from the newly cleaned hill top...

The view N/NW ...

Eastward view ... Probably can see Camotes Island and maybe Bohol on most days..

I'm really trying hard (:)) to learn the landscape here and recognize where I'm at on the island by looking at the different mountains and ridgelines and other natural terrain features ... Like that large rounded mountain in the center of this pic ... I'm pretty sure I know where that place is at in relation to other rides I do here ... 101_0054.JPG
