• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

trailtech vapour setup on 08 Husky sm 610

gasgaskid

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi Guys, I installed a trailtech vapour, (tired of the stock unit screwing up and resetting all the time) but I can't seem to get the tachometer to work properly. It shows that it revs only to about 4000 rpm, when I am probably about twice that. Everything else works fine. The Manual talks about Pulses per Revolution. Have I got the wrong setup programed in? Thanks for your help guys.

Hi mate. Am looking to do the same set up on my '06 610.
Did you have any problems with the swap? Can you give some tips or put up some links from where you got the info?
My TE is also set up with 17" wheels. Can you set the speedo to suit?

No problem! Have been trying to set mine for last week, finally got it working properly today! At first I ran a common ground back through original speed ground, also took the power back to original speedo power. The rpm sensor I joined in behind coil! I had a lot of trouble trying to get rpms right, I found taking rpm sensor ground directly to frame and not connecting power ground at all to work the best & most accurately. With ppr just change until your rpms are reading where they should. If they are reading half what rpms should be change ppr to .5 if double what they should be change to 2! Good luck:thumbsup:

Forgot to mention the TT will work fine with just 1 ground. I just took ground off rpm sensor to steering lock bolt! Grant. Re wheels yes you just set wheel diameter. Easy!
