• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tr650 Replacement Turn Signal Problem.

Bermuda Ron

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hello All, having a tail light problem and need some help please. I switched out the stock cans for a GPR single made for the BMW XCountry 650. Bike runs great, but when I got back from my test run I had burnt off the stock left turn signal - DUMB ASS - I know! Ordered and installed a pair of close fitting Drag Specialties 2020-1429 DOT-Compliant Rear Turn Signals which have standard 1156A amber incandescent bulbs. When ignition only is on, all four turn signals work just fine, BUT, when I start the motor, the new rear turn signal will only flash once and then go dark - and the front turn signals go into rapid flash mode. The 1156 is larger than stock bulb for maybe a resistance difference? Would LED bulbs in the rear signals solve this problem? As you can tell I am not electrically adept. Posting a link to the replacement rear turn signals: https://www.powersportsuperstore.co...29-dot-compliant-rear-turn-signal-matte-black
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE

I changed to LED and everything worked great for a year then suddenly stopped working. The dash green indicator light would flash but there was no voltage going to the indicators. I see that the wiring runs through the dash cluster therefore there is no flasher relay so the entire turn signals are managed via the cluster. So I thought fuck it and just rewired my own circuit and bypassed the dash.....Bobs your uncle!
