  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Torque Settings TXC 310 2013

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi there

I have just picked up a near new 2013 TXC 310 and have pulled it apart to regrease where required. Putting it back together, i am having a much bigger job of finding the required torque settings

I have the "Quick manual" which has nothing in it, the owners manual (which i downloaded) has a few like the axles, swingarm bolt, the workshop manual (which i downloaded) has all the torgue settings but the description of the item is unclear and the part numbers are not referenced on a diagram for identification, and finally i have the parts manual which has the diagrams and part numbers, but they do not tie up with those in the workshop manual torques settings!

What a mission! Does anyone have another source for the torques settings that makes finding the correct numbers easier?

Of particular interest are the correct settings for the upper and lower fork clamps. I have found two conflicting numbers for the upper clamp (22.5-26.5 & 28.4) and nothing for the lower

Thanks

Did you ever find the lower fork clamp torques settings? If you did what are they? Also did you find a better overall source for torques settings?

I have the pdf of the Service manual for the 310. Below are torque figures for axle pinch bolts and triple clamps. Appears to be 25 and 28.4.

Yes... Odd they don't show the 4 lower clamp bolts. The only table for those torques in the service manual I could find.

No, i didn't find the lower clamp torques settings or a more readable table of torque settings.

I am using 25 on the top and 15 below but the latter is a guess. If someone knows the correct setting it would be good to know

The 12 service manual torque table states if no torque figures are specified M8x1.25 bolts would be 24-26nm. I'de use 28.4 upper clamp (noted in the chart) and the 4 lower clamp bolts at 25.

Thanks Johnrg. 25nm is a logical number given what is in the manual, but 25nm is a lot tighter than i have had lower clamp bolts tightened to on other bikes. BIn the absence of anything to the contrary, i should tighten to 25nm i suppose
