• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Very pleasant...

If I hit the lottery I'd own one of each model tm makes. Hands down the coolest, nicest looking bikes. I owned a 125 and a 250 mx '01 and '03 respectively and loved them. The 125 was a monster. The 250 was a pain to jet it had the mikuni i believe. If I had known about lectrons I would still have it for sure. Here's the '03 I had. I really wish I still had it the only problem I had was the carb. Wasnt really a problem I just could never get it running to full potential that I knew it had.

Sweet bikes for sure. I got me a 2011 MX250 and it's now my son's. Thanks for posting up the other Italian bike. If they made a 200 I'd be all over it :D.

I've been on a 2003 125 MX since selling my 2009 WR/CR 144 and love it! Surprisingly it turns better than the Husky, but is a little less stable at speed. Yes, the 125 is a monster. Currently running a CR 125 JD ignition and the Lectron(almost tuned) and it pulls way harder than my CR 144. Almost too much, considering running 13/48 gearing on a 125!!! Ohlins suspension is the real deal too. Not a fan of the aluminum frames, but if I can't buy a current Husky, then I will buy a TM 144!!

I am still unsure how far or if they can be bored larger. If anyone knows, does the TM use an exhaust bridge? If it doesn't then it becomes very problematic to bore larger.

I have a TM Racing EN300 (aluminium frame), great bike, nice billet parts and allot more modern then a WR300.
I actually had a WR250 (2006 model), but the TM beats it at every single thing.
PWK, Marzocchi CC, decent kickstart, hydro clutch, billet clamps and hubs, HGS exhaust system, 270mm front rotor all standard and much more.

A friend of mine has a 2010 MX250, awesome bike for MX couldn't think of anything better.

They are quite expensive, but you get some much more for your money it's almost a work art.

If you're looking for something trick and want to be unique a TM is for you, best off all they you don't need to upgrade it to race at high level, they come race ready as is. Get the suspension set-up for you're weight and you're ready to go.

Parts are generally a bit dearer but you get the high end stuff, so when you compare prices on that base they're actually cheaper.

Parts availability might be a problem depending on where you live, isn't a problem for me as my dealer (Germany) has all the parts you'll ever need at stock and when it isn't it'll be there in less then two days, he'll sent abroad and is very helpful.

The TM community is also something else, never have seen such a dedication for a brand, the TM Cup, and TM Cup of nations prove this.

Actually that 144 doesn't need to be big bored or stroked, they run awesome as is.
The 2013 model has a electric powervalve and runs a lot better then the 2012 with mechanical powervalve.
When the 125 with electric powervalve came out, it almost beat the 144 so sales were low.

Don't compare it to the Honda RC valve, (or whatever they call them), TM makes it work!
