• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Heard today that our TM importer Pete Vertrano has sold importation rights of TM motorcycles in the US to a fellow from the Netherlands named Ralf Schmidt. mr Schmidt is the TM importer in the Netherlands as well. Was told by Pete that Mr. Schmidt really likes the Socal life style, and their MX tracks!Dan

I've spoken with Ralf in depth about tuning tips for my 144 and 250, he was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. Thjs guy is as moto as they get and TM USA will be in good hands with him, he's really passionate about the brand.

Hope it works out. My son has a 2011 TM 250MX and it's been an awesome bike with ZERO issues.

Hey Cam, how's the healing process going - back on the bike as yet?

Hey this could be good! Wonder if he'll promote the supermoto side of things. There weren't any imported this year so some guys had to purchase SM models through Canada...

Thanks for asking, I haven't ridden for 5 weeks now. I raced on Sunday thinking I was ready but it was a mistake, the shoulder really started to hurt again in the 2nd moto. I was in a lot of pain the rest of the day and lost a lot of the mobility that I had regained. Hopefully it's just sore and I didn't do any damage but it still feels bad and sounds like a bag of smashed potato chips when I move it. Lots of crunching, grinding, popping and clicking noises coming out of it, not always associated with any pain though.

How about you, getting much riding in? Did you make it to the Agassiz round on the 1st/2nd? I almost went but I'm sure glad now that I waited.

Looks like it's back to physio for me!

Didn't make Agassiz; nephew got married in WA state - I'll make it some year. Just trail riding, in fact, last night myself and two young, fast guys went out after they were off work and got in about 36 miles. Stick with the physio - I know I've been lax in keeping up with my workout and it shows.
