• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tires

It is not the first time I clicked on one of your links and got blasted with advertising in my wandering around the internet on sites completely unrelated to the topic at hand.

it says they are on sale for 71.88, but when entering
IRC Enduro VE33

in 18 inch sizes, seems to be a normal price on ebay..
a little false advertising from chap. id say.

Did you get off the wrong side of the bike today or am I the target of your personal problems? Is the misses beating you up today.? Why are you lashing out at me? In the past everyone said the 17” tires are hard to find, what ever I just pointed out a sale if anyone was interested I guess your not. Bill

Everyone? 17" tires have never been hard to find, you just cant get them in the modern new age trendy knob patterns, which have absolutely nothing to do with performance.

I was just trying to help. Next time I won’t say anything. Sometimes it’s a deal I know some use the 460-17.

I am just trying to help too. Help someone avoid three Chapparal adds on their screen. Not everyone has the best ad blocking stuff.

I would buy tires local but it seems they are priced for the guys that they sponsor and get a discount. When I want what I wore out and they have only one size smaller it seems I have to go mail order to get it. 140 80 18. I get email from rocky mountain who I see on the supercross banners on tv but the thought of linking on this forum never occurred to me.

I have got some sort of volcunduro tire prior, probably a set and then a rear basically because I liked the name. The Pirelli mt16 has a reputation for being a good rock tire, There is always more rock this year than last, they are not real expensive if tire cost is significant. There seems to be be a difference in tire height for the same numbers for different choices. Then there are the tires for minimal ground impact.

Find me a tube that I can not pinch when putting tire on. I will pay double or triple LOL
any medium duty tube..been using the bridgestone ones past few times. they always last at least the life of the tire..what do you lube the tube with installing? i usually use just soapy water. havent pinched one installing since my first time trying when i was 15.

I use simple green as a tire lube when assembly tires to rims. I just pinched a tube in a a 510-17 tire. I have one of those manual operated tire changers I grew up in the teen years before the coats power tire changers were used. Its a harbor freight tire changer and they offer a motorcycle tire changer adapter for it. I need to look into getting one.

I just bought bunch from Dennis Kirk cheaper.

Gary, put baby powder on inside of tire and coat it. Same on tube.
Put tube in and air up to get rid of twists in tube. Let air out. If you have kerosene forced air heater. Sit whole rim and tire in front of it to heat. Spray rim and bead with Wd 40 and tire just goes on with lil effort.

critical is making sure all the beads are seated in the centre of the rim as you get to the last third... ....both sides...then she will slip on a like a well used overcoat....
