  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tires for TXC 310 R in Soft Conditions

Husqvarna
A Class
I read somewhere on this site about the tires that the Husky race team uses for GNCC racing but I can't find where I read it. I ride in Louisiana and riding in soft mud is a very real option but, most of my riding is intermediated to sandy conditions. The Pirelli Scorpion MX work ok in perfect conditions (groomed track) but, aren't very forgiving in the mud.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Rex

Motoz terrapactor ST, hooks up well in sand and mud plus light enough for the 310. Run it backwards if it's deep sand or really muddy

We run the MX11 on sandy motocross tracks, it's basically a paddle. The front tire is the GT 216 AA fat tire.

Went with the Michelin S12xc because finding the GT 216AA was a bit of a hassle. I made one ride on it but, conditions were dry and sandy. It worked better than stock in the sand but, I didn't get to try it in the mud.
Thanks for the feed back guys.

We ordered a thousand of those GT216aa's but they haven't came in yet. Sorry about the hassle.

No problem, thanks for getting back to me but , I need to change the subject while I have your attention. I want to install the a new hose kit with the bypass and I thought I saw that you could help out with that. I have a 2014 TXC 310R if you could give me the info I would grateful. I looked on the CV4 web page but, they don't list it for my bike.
Thanks, Rex

CV4 Silicone Hose Kit for 2013/14 TE310R: SFSMBC173R

I removed a small section of hose going to cylinder head to retain temp sensor for fan.
