• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I suggested those Forma boots. Curiosity and the need for new boots got the best of me and i ordered a pair. Got them today. WOW, really nice boots. Machined metal buckles, nice protection, Italian made, full grain leather, Internal removable gel bootie. They fit and feel great. I also think these might have the waterproof I need, we will see. It has an internal gator all the way to the top. I have never had hinged boots before and they certainly are flexible in walking motion while and seem very supportive side to side and well as offering substantially better ankle protection. Buckles are really nice and EZ to use. EZ to put on and take off.

I could not be more pleased with these.

Got them here... http://www.atomic-moto.com/servlet/the-Boots/Categories

I'll update this post are actually trying them. Walking around the house they feel great.

Very nice.

How do they fit? Are they narrow or on the wide side of things? I find Sidi's a narrow for my foot making Gaerne's my boot of choice the last few years.

They fit me perfect. Size 11. Don't seem narrow or wide on me. I could measure the width of my foot if you like.

You must be reading to many of my posts to come up with a comment like that.

FYI, I'm not wide nor am I narrow.
And Kelly, no need to measure bro, just tell me you glove size. :busted::D I'll figure out your width on my own.

Hey Kelly,
Did you contact anyone (Customer Service) at Atomic Moto on when they would be getting in the "Red & Black ones?

No, they have such little color and i wear over the boot pants I don't really care.

That color would be just right for me and my blu/yel Husky......and match my ARC blu/blk riding jacket.
Then I'd be closer to being as color coordinated as my kid :)
We used to give him a hard time, saying it's not how good you ride that's important, but how good you look riding.

Fashion foul, the boots have no green on them. -2 point deduction.

yep, he mentioned that too.......I told him them match the engine/pipe in that area so he was good (& caught them on sale)

Well, with the last "boot" thread y'all convinced me to order a pair of the Forma's from Atomic Moto. I'm anxiously awaiting the BBT to drop them off so I can give them a go this weekend.
I'll report back with how they worked out.

cheers,

Mike

Mine should be here tomorrow !!! what does it say about my life that I'm this excited about boots :)

and btw... Kelly what are you doin with those pictures of Estrada :busted:

Y'all need to stop praising these boots. I'm trying not to spend money and you aren't helping. :p

Kelly probably admires the way he handled those big Kawi CHPcycles. That and those pearly white teeth.

I Just talked to to the guys at Atomic-moto about the availability of more sizes in the red boot. The story is they bought the remaining inventory of another distributor and can't get anymore unless he becomes a Forma distributor by ordering a whole lot of boots and the new price would be closer to MSRP $374.
