• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The sun is here the sun is here!

Finally. Actually rode with no mud yesterday!!! WOW. :D Was a fun weekend. Rode snowmobiles in the sun and burnt my face off Saturday and road killer trails wit no mud Sunday. I feel like I have been run over by a bus. Strange, at 44 you don't recover like you did at 24

Hope you all had a great ride weekend as well.

Glad you had some fun. If you think recovery is achy at 44, just wait until you are 53.:oldman:

Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Snowmobiles one day and dirt bikes the next, doesn't get much better than that. It's been getting sunny here too, followed by 5 inches of snow:banghead: Ohh well spring will get here some day.

First time out for me yesterday.

Simply beautiful day. Trails were just about perfect, weather was fantastic and I have found a way to cheat on the trails. Trial tire :applause:

Great day.

you guys got the sun,,,good on ya,,,,,we have the deep thick solid dust back again,,,,the plants are still a little green and we may get a few more sprinkles,,but yesterday took a while to get back into the groove of sliding through dust clouds.

The sun was shining here in the PNW over the weekend. And it is again today. :applause:

There's still snow in the hills. For now.....

There was still plenty of mud to be found in the Trask. I was just happy to be able to get there through the snow. Up top in the morning there were icecycles on everything, and about a foot of snow left, but down lower in the afternoon it was warm and sunny.

That pic was from Sat at D Mill.
I think I pulled out behind you as you were heading home on Hwy 6 westbound.

Did you stage from Jordan's or Hollywood?

I know you invited me for a ride this weekend, but my wife had plans on Sat. Until she bailed last minute and I was able to escape for a few hrs. I really, really, really want to ride to ride your 125. Bad! Dont give up on me yet :D

Missed the weekend....due to certain hangover conditions.

But made up for it tonite. 4pm till it got dark Yahooo good weather is here to stay....I hope.

It was a splendid weekend in NorCal! I had 2 friends from Graham, WA fly in Wednesday afternoon and they said it was nasty at their house. It was 75 degrees when their plane touched down here in Oakland. We took them to Stonyford for a few days and rode in this...:D

It was 27 degrees when we woke up Saturday morning, but it was sunny and beautiful:thumbsup:

BTW, I have 92 photos and I'm in 4 of them. I'll post up a ride report when I get some photos from the other riders.

How much snow around Duffy/Greenstone? I haven't a clue if it was a heavy snowfall season or what. Counting the days till I can ride up there.

Snow expected for the Southern Sierras tomorrow and the next few days. We need a little more snow pack.

Will be awhile yet...:D Still quite a bit up top. Lot of trails @ GreenStone, Duffy are on the North side of the Mtn. Which you see in the pic.

Still lots of areas to ride...just not as good a that.:D

Yes sir it is! Had nice street bike ride on our Triumphs with kids on back Saturday up to Silverdale for lunch. Sunday was a beautiful day for riding and well......... Today would have been phenomenal to get out and stir something up. Good to see BOB out! Looking forward to a ride with you and the cronies sometime soon! Heard from Oldbones lately?

PC/NW, you have to pic the right ride area. I rode in perfect loam all day Sunday. Perfect i tell ya.

Got 104 miles in on the SM610 after work tonight. 4 days of riding in a row (dirt, snowmobile, dirt, street). Got to get a few miles in tomorrow night just because. maybe a night ride is in order.

78 and sunny tomorrow WOOOHOOOOO

The cali guys are probably like WTF? Celebrating the sun?

I always celebrate the Rum.... . . . . . Oh wait you said sun. What happens when it's not sunny?? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I'm not familiar w/that scenario and or possible season change thingy...

Glad you've been able to get some saddle time in

Around these parts, I can hardly wait for each rainstorm to appear to make my ride a more traction filled, dust free experience.

Nice picture. Reminds me of my brief stay in Washington state. Good times on the trails, but I seemed to wear out wheel and chassis bearings faster than I do down here.:D

Where is all this perfect loam at? I wouldn’t mind a change of scenery.

I kind of like the ride we did in the Trask though. The only TSF trails are Rogers to FireFox then about a mile of road over the top of the mountain. From then on it is mile after mile of nice single track that takes us right into the Ginger Creek area. So you can ride as much single track as fuel range allows.

PC – I noticed the Husky when I passed DM. I did not know that was you. Maybe another weekend we can meet up. I want to try the 300 also!
