• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Busted out the white klims ... And yep, that sprocket is on the right side of the bike ... Its a 2008 WR250 day and the fork action will be focused on since I have changed the oil in them and need to verify their action ... Upped the oil amount to 420cc per leg ...

I was not ready to see any footbridge here of this size! .... My first thoughts were how high does the water get here? I'd really like to know how they got that thing built so high up in the air ...

Clearance! Thats it I bet ... are you an engineer? ... That's a big river for here and carries lots of water I'm sure and whatever else down stream ... I hope to get some high water shots there later ...
 
No, not an engineer but when I was a kid I hiked across a dry creek bed to school every day. Fairly shallow but about 30-40 feet wide. Only saw water in it one time when it stormed for days and that creek overflowed and moved up on our property about 60 feet to within a few feet of our back porch. Remember seeing a dog house and some outbuildings floating down it. San Diego County, Pomerado Creek in Poway in the 50's

This place is just a flash flood waiting to happen after each rain ...

Looking around again today at new trails and some other places I have not been in a while and found another new walk-over and one that just went down with the new rains ... Maybe something was washed down and took it out ...

Did you see the story of the Iguaca Falls in Brazil.?

10 times normal volume of water going over right now.

4 times the size of Niagara Falls.

Also cool that you get to ride over the bridges, too. I'd probably get shot/arrested if I tried that here in CA.
