  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ever since I built my wife's 2012 cr wb 165 I've wanted one for myself. So finally came across a 2000 or 2001 cr 125 for cheap. Popped the throttle and cable of the 250 today to use the Lectron from it and she fired right up. BTW my shortened Lectron fits like OEM on this bike. If any of you guy's are considering building a 144 or 165 don't count out the older model cr 125's. Took this thing for a short ride today and was pleasantly surprised by the lay and good handling. For now I have a brand new 144 kit that came with the wife's bike that I'm going to throw on along with a Motosportz Lectron and cable.

I almost bought that bike but the title and registration sounded sketchy. I know you got it cheap though so I hope it works out, have fun with the project.

The bike was originally purchased in Nevada and way back then I guess they did'nt require dirt bikes to be registered as off highway vehicles so the bike has no mso or title or anything. I guess the first thing I'm going to-do is find a way to get it registered.

Gold valves and stiffer springs make those kinda sucky forks work great. The rest of the bike is very good. Enjoy.

Yeah Nevada still requires OHV for dirt bikes. I'm still waiting for my registration decal to comr in the mail.

Are looking for a pipe I just bought a 2013 wr125 to replace my 2008cr165 and my 200sx pipe on 2008 will not fit on new frame but looks like it should fit yours since it looks like my 2008 frame. I bought it this spring from WB and have used it for about 20 hours with pipe guard on it from new.

Not looking for a pipe at the moment but thanks for the offer.

Around that time Steve Lamson raced SX & MX on a DKNY sponsored Husky. I think Fast By Ferracci offered replica graphics kit.

Yes, thats factory race graphics like Lamson used...

I think Bills has this very bike on his showroom floor. Or one just like it.
