• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks to all of you...

Just wanted to say a heart left thanks. This Motosportz thing has been a labor of love and at times VERY trying. A small biz is countless hours and sometimes very frustrating. All that said I do for the most part love my job. A lot of that is due to you guys and gals. January was pretty lean, I was starting to wonder if we were going to be able to make it long term. I hated the thought of all the massive hours of effort put into this all for nothing. February was looking better. March has been very good and I feel strong again.

THANK YOU ALL. Not just those who have bought from us but the whole husky community. Great people here. Much appreciated.

Your Welcome.:D

It's probably only going to get better as the summer ensues and lots of people buy husky's. I think you just have to treat your job as seasonal, much like mine is. Not many customers dropping hundred dollar tips in July, but whew those winter months rock.:busted:

I think the economy hit bottom in late Feb.

Things will pick up, and fast.

The Husky thing is set to take off. We are about to reach critical mass, and wouldnt surprise me to see your business double in the next 18 months.

Hold tight, you are in a good position.

Thank you for selling stuff that doesn't suck! Seriously, thanks for the good merchandise at a fair price and for the laughs on the trail. Appreciate your advice learning to ride this Wolf! Hope to see you around for a long time, Kelly.

Hope sponsoring Cafe Husky has helped. :)

I keep seeing people say they will buy things from you cause you support Cafe Husky.

I've been wanting to get some Radiator Guards for my 610 for months but am waiting til I'm completely caught up with all my
other bills which should be by mid April. I've been eyeing your
website though and will definitely get the Motosportz Rad Guards
in the next month or two. Your service is definitely much appreciated and needed for Husky owners so hang in there as the
East Coasters and Canadians are beginning to thaw out and surely
they've got their Husky's on their mind.

Kelly:
It's a two way street and we thank you and others like you who support our machines that are a bit out of the mainstream (for the moment). As the popularity of the Husky brand continues to resurge we all hope that that you're business florishes.

I have to say thanks to Kelly - I might have the longest transaction in the history of his business, lol! Thanks Kelly and now I can order like a normal customer. Matt

it would be time to get out or move on and i do not see that
ever happening for you.

all the cool products that you have given this

Kelly,

Thanks for all the prompt replies in my quest to marry up the Mz 610 damper and Paul's HDB system. Even if it were a bust project, the great customer service so far will have me ordering from you in the future  .

In short, ditto what Mike said above  .

Kelly,
How can anyone add to this good and positive praise this thread is giving.

I wish I could come up with some witty remark.:D But I'll keep this true and honest. (And leave that for Wetdog)

Thanx for helping out a fellow Husky Rider North of the Border.

I look forward to more great service in the future.

I was impressed when I did business with you Kelly and will continue to do business with you because of your great service. On a more positive note for ya. My dealer( Bottone's) has had a hard time keeping a Husky on his showroom floor,he even had another guy coming in to help put bikes together because Harv was getting behind. I just talked to Harv last week and he said things where backed up for a few weeks for him already, so it doesn't sound like their business has slowed down at all. Hang in there,,things will get even better in a few months.

I've been thinking about this. Feb 19th I put up a banner for you, any chance that helped? The link from the banner is archived in the internet search engines...

Might have but looking at web stats i don;t think a big impact. I think it had a lot to do with weather changing and new bikes and races coming up. That said a while back CafeHusky passed Thumpertalk in referrals to my site

Being a sponsor here is EXCELLENT and i really appreciate it. This sites growth is amazing and the great people are well... great. Good stuff.

BTW, I appreciate the nice comments but this was really just to say thanks to all of YOU!

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT...

So I recently send a trailtech headlight to a customer over seas. I screwed myself when calculating shipping. Opps. Oh well, lesson learned. Today I get a paypal payment for the difference as my customer (a member here) notices i screwed myself on the shipping and pays the difference.

Cool customers

You guys rule.
