Hello to all, Sorry for the detailed post, Ill keep them shorter in the future,
I'm fairly new here on this Forum but have been reading alot of Posts and the strings following them from all of ya. This crowd is awesome on here. I have made a few Mods to my 2011 TE630 thanks to all of your input. Learning more about my ride everyday with your help. This is my first Post here and I need some help.
The bike was broken in mostly on the road with like 20-60 mile rides on backroads up and down the RPM range as the dealer instructed me to do prior to the first full service. I also did 1/2 day of dirt riding prior to bringing it in for the full service. At the end of the 1/2 day ride approx. 60 miles in sand, woods, hard packed etc... I heard some light clanking on the way home from what I thought may be the clutch, gear box etc... It happened when I let out the clutch after riding that 1/2 day and sounded kinda clanky but not bad, could be the chain? After that first 1/2 day in the dirt the first full service was due now so I had it done the next day at the dealer, at about 550 miles on the odometer. They did the work and told me the clanking was that the chain just needed an adjustment. It sounded way better when I left the dealer.
The bike now has around 570 miles on it so I decided to do some mods now that shes broken in. Here is what was done after the breakin period. I did the Power Up Resistor/Jumper Plug, Removed and Plugged my o2 Sensor, airbox mod with holes and screen all over and just installed the JD Jetting FI Tuner Kit on this bike. Waiting for the parts to come this week I ordered from TX for the Baffel tubes and packing to De-Cat the Twin Pipes and open her up to breath a bit.
Heres the thing, did the above mods so far, got some really nice results so I decided to open it up a bit on the road. Brought it up to 94 MPH and then backed off, it had much more to go though. Stopped at a buddies house to show him the JD Tunner. Was there about 20 minutes. All was fine but when I left I got to the end of his block, went to let the Clutch out and it seemed to not want to grab and sort of grabbing at the end but not moving much. I throttled it a bit and then pumped the clutch in and out and it caught better then was off slowly. The take off seemed like it was a bit slipping and grabbing a little then was ok to ride home. What the heck is that about? Anyone have some ideas? I looked but did not find anything on any of the Forums, so I'm reaching out.
Thanks,
Mike
