• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE610 Clutch pack adjustment

Bigserve

Husqvarna
AA Class
I've just fitted a new clutch pack, checked the distance between the outside of the clutch leaver on the motor and the outside of the clutch cable holder and it measures 6 inches, the manual says it should be 5 1/2 inchs. Also I've got no clutch at the leaver on the handlebars,I've fitted a new clutch cable as well.
I tryed winding out the adjuster screw on the clutch pack all the way still nothing, tryed winding it in all that seems to do is make gapes in the clutch discs.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to adjustment please?

Hi,

Do you have the manual for your bike?

I had to take the clutch lever off my motor and re-position it, as it was too far away.

New clutch cable was shorter than the old one.

You need to test the free play in the lever on the motor.

1-3mm free play in the lever, this is set by the grub screw and lock nut in the center of the clutch pack..

:)

Yeah I have been using the one on husquvarnaoutlet.com according to that there should measure 5 1/2 inches between the outside of the leaver on the motor and the outside of the cable holder on the motor, mine measures 6 inches so if I moved mine further in to the 5 1/2 inches I would have even more slack in the cable as it is now if I adjust the adjuster on the leaver n the handle bars all the way out I still have a lot of slack in the cable.

Does seem like the clutch cable is wrong.

Does anyone have a clutch cable off a TE610, so we can get the dimensions?

:)
