  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE511 Akrapovic exhaust muffler sleeve

OZYTE511

Husqvarna
Does anyone know where I can buy a new sleeve for the Akrapovic muffler that came with my 2011 TE511?
I have unsuccessfully tried Husqvarna, they only sell the whole muffler, and Carpimoto in Italy who ignored my query email.
The muffler isn't the optional CF type, the sleeve is either aluminium or titanium as a magnet won't stick to it.

It's titanium alloy. And yes Husqvarna wants some $900 dollars US to replace the whole muffler. The one thing I hate about Akro's is the parts not being available. What's wrong with the sleeve?

I cracked the CF end cap on my Full TI Akra, I ended up getting a replacement piece from Latvia (haha) off ebay in 2-3 weeks. If you have the part# of the sleeve it can't hurt googling it, or checking ebay.

The muffler has a dent which could be removed, it's appearance only as it's not big enough to be affecting the performance. It would require disassembling the muffler to remove it. My thinking was that if I have to tear the muffler down I might as well fit a new sleeve. The other alternative is to leave it the way it is as it's probably going to get more dents anyway!
Is the part # of the sleeve stamped on the sleeve somewhere?
Caiman do you have the contact details in Latvia where you bought the end cap. I assume this is the factory?
