• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Te510 1990

Husky37

Husqvarna
AA Class
I have just acquired a TE510...... raced 2 Strokes all my life, just rebuilt my '85 500CR to go back racing....

I wanted a cheap ride to store at a mates place so we could go out every now and again. This TE came up so in a fit of madness I got it.

It's a bit tired but came with some bills for work that had been done.

Couple of questions:

1. Is there any 'gotchas' with this year and model? (bit late to ask now I know)
2. Plastics are a bit tired but I can't seem to find them specifically for 1990... do other years fit?

Thanks in advance.

Stu

Pic: As picked up nothing done to it yet.

Being a Husky enthusiast in the UK I'm sure you're aware of Taliesin Racing http://www.taliesinracing.co.uk/. They seem to know their stuff. Over here I'd contact George at Uptite http://uptitehusky.com/ .

I used to ride with guy who had a '91 610 with Uptite mods. It had the older side panels and rear fender like yours. It looks like newer shrouds and of course the front fender would work. It might be tough to find side panels and a rear mud guard (if that's what you call a fender over there), but keep checking ebay and one might turn up. Acerbis used to make a universal rear fender that might work. Cool bike, good luck.

Here's an older model with newer ('95ish) rad guards.
