Hey Guys,
I wanted to try and find clarity on something my bike has been doing since the day I purchased it. I'm not sure if it is the way this technology works, or if I actually have an issue that needs to be addressed. When I hit the starter button, I let the fuel pump prime for the 3 seconds, I wait for the dash to display the words "race map ll," and then I fire up the bike. There are times where I go to start the bike, it cranks over about 10 times and then the dash goes blank with an unsuccessful start up. The bike remains unresponsive for at least 60 seconds before it allows me to start to crack over the motor again. If the second attempt results in the bike not starting the dash goes off again and I'd have to wait another 60 seconds before being able to attempt to start again. Is this how this is supposed to operate? I've never known if this was normal, but it leaves me feeling a bit uneasy when I deep in the woods unsure if I'll be able to start it up again. The bike runs excellent, it almost always fires up the first round, and I've had no major issues other than the alternator frying on me which I have replaced. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
JW
