  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE449 front and rear wheel bearing sizes

Can anyone tell me the front and rear wheel bearing and seal sizes please,i like to have them handy before they become too worn...apologies if there is a link or thread on this issue.

Thanks for link landof, but i was looking to order a bit closer to home (england) if possible.
I've been using a bearing company in u.k for the bmw but i need individual sizes to save me stripping old ones out first;)

Hi guys, I just ordered some new bearings for the rear wheel on my 2013 TE511
This will be the third set on the rear, I went with all balls on the last set and will do pivot works & NTN this time.
I ordered the set from pivot works & the 2 drive side bearings will work (6005) but the brake side bearing will not - this is in the pivot works kit. I have ordered a 6300 (NTN rubber seal) from the local auto parts store for the brake side
So: drive side = 6005 X 2
Brake side = 6300 X 1
PS there are new seals included in the pivot works kit:-)

Update: the "pivot works" brake side bearing measures the same as the model# 6300 even though it reads #1004 on the side.
The "pivot works" kit # is PWRWK-HQ01-001
Who knew

Bearings:

25mm ID x 42mm OD x 9mm deep

SKF model 6905-2RS

2 for front wheel

4 for rear

Not sure about the above, sorry mate.:(

I haven't had to replace the front bearings on mine, so not sure on those.
I do know they have different seal sizes, I only have the LH seal size - 28 x 50 x 5mm.

There are actually originally 3 rear bearings (not 4). Two on the sprocket side & 1 x dual race on the brake side under the circlip.
LH 2 x 6005LU
RH 1 x 63005
Seals are two of 32 x 47 x 7mm

Any good bearing shop should be able to supply them cheaply without the need for a kit.

Update: the NTN 6300 bearing is not the same as the All Balls 6300 ?? That rear single bearing on the brake side seems to be kind of an odd ball one. I get the measurments ID25mm x OD47mm x 16mm wide, I haven't been able to find an individual one from NTN, skf, timkin, etc, but I'll keep looking✌️

The actual number is 63005 - It denotes a double row ball bearing.
All those companies should be able to supply an equivelent.
