Hi peoples, newbie to the site so if need be could an admin move this to the appropriate thread.
I'm just gonna copy n paste what i have already put up elsewhere so please excuse the dribble....
A few months ago I stuffed my Husky TE410, went for a ride stopped for lunch then started it up only to find it would no longer accelerate, Left it with a local mechanic for a few weeks but unfortunately to no avail... So i though stuff it, and brought a pit-bike which iv'e ridden ever since then. Anyway now i want to get this thing running again as i'm keen to get back on a big bike. So the probelm is the bike will start, and idles fine, but as soon as i try to give it a rev it farts, crakles and fires out the carby, and eventaully stalls. i have completly pulled the carby apart and cleaned out everything with carby cleaner (I believe the mechanic did the same) but it did not seem to make a difference at all, and i also fit a new plug. So plans for the weekend are to play with the float level, and #1 see what sort of fuel flow i am getting out of the fuel line. Has anybody got any other ideas on what to try? Also i was thinking maybe a new coil and CDI although some people are saying that if it fires up, these probably won't make a difference??? Any help greatly apprieciated. And as for setting the thing on fire (as was mechanics resolution) I just can't bring myslef to do it, yet...
