Hi all, well I've just got my very first Husky, a 09 TE310, to replace my KLX300 which got stolen one week before Xmas...Ho ho ferkin ho!!
I've just installed a JD Powersurge 6x and thrown on a 12 tooth on the front which has now cured the schizophrenic nature, gone is the completely useless lower gears and the unpredicable high revs power delivery. Straight out of the box from idle all the way up to the top(well as far as I've had the gonads to go so far
) it's like two different bikes.
Just got a few questions of you guys, part being this is my first EFI bike -

- Is there any benefit (or problem) in removing the engine breather from the induction circuit and installing a breather filter, Uni or K&N type?
- Now I've installed the JD 6x I have noticed a backfire/stall when snapping the throttle from low revs. Could this be from the mixture at idle/low revs being to rich? I have not changed any of the 6X settings.
- Probably the most anoying thing at the mo' is the bloody rattle from the muffler, the insert that is in it - long and thin with a couple of holes in each side at the engine end. The retaining circlip dosen't quite hold it in tight enough and it rattles around inside the muffler. Anyone else had this prob? And is this insert just a decibel killer (man it sounds GOOOOD without it in and you're usin that throttle...music to the ears) or is it a spark arrestor type?
