  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Te310 Ecu Not Working

Markus.Mester

Husqvarna
Hello from germany,
I bought a not running TE310 2011 without a ignition spark and with the 12 point injector. Now I think the ECU is defective, I can get a used one with the Mikuni serial number 8000H0596, the same number as my current ECU. On the back of my ECU there is a sticker with a different number saying 8000H7424, as I already found out this number should be the flashed software version. The ECU I can get used, has a sticker saying 8000H0370.
Now my question is, if I can buy this one when ziptyracing flashes the software?

If that ECU is the 2012 USA TXC310 one that is the OEM catalog "race kit" part. the kit contained the 2012 spec parts (developed from CH Racing), 12 port injector and the TXC310 (full race map) ECU.
That is the injection set up I used on my 2011 TE310 race bike , it transformed the machine.
So that said the 2012 TXC310 ECU is the one you want for the TE310. My bike also had a 2010 TC250 Ti silencer with the add on dB plug to lighten the rear but keep it quiet for sound checks. The 2010 TC 250 silencer plugs right into the 2011 TE310 collector pipe. The TC250 silencer was about 4 pounds lighter.

You want the USA 2012 TXC310 ECU! (OEM Race kit ECU)

Thanks for your answer,
Now the next question I have is about the number on the ECU, as I found out the number on the sticker with the Husqvarna Logo gives me the information about the software on the ECU, the serial number on the other side should always be the same (please correct me if I am wrong). Now I need to know which number would be the right software for my Bike, would it be the number on my current ECU (8000H7424) or is there a different version/number that has the right software for my bike? As you said the 2012 ECU would have the right software, so what number does it have is it the 8000H7424 version?

I have done my homework back in the day, so Im not doing a deep dive. My suggestion get a hold of all the parts catalogs and verify part numbers. the 310 ECU part number are different from the 250 models I think I recall. This part number you wrote 8000H7424 is the actual Husqvarna part number. Somewhere on this site we had a thread with all the P/Ns connected.

I know the well known way of fixing the problem is installing the TXC ECU as well as the injector from the ECU. Kawasaki makes the same injector and only costs $70 so many people use that instead. The hardest part is finding the TXC ECU since they don't make them anymore. Anyone know how to Personal Message? R_Little said he has an ECU and lives in north jersey like me!
According to the parts manual (http://docs.wavenetworks.us/parts//2012 TC-TE-TXC 250-310.pdf) Part 8000H7424 is the part # for the TXC310 ECU - my local dealer says they are still available from Italy and would take about 3 weeks to get one in, at a cost of $430 Canadian. I'm waiting to hear back from him on part #8000 H0711 which is the TXC250 ECU.

if you are with a 310 you should stick with the TXC310 ECU I quickly looked through parts manual all the P/Ns are different from 250 to 310, which I assume are the maps set for each machine
