  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE310 '11 Starting troubles, won't idle, kills spark plugs.

Hey Guys! :)

I have a Husky TE310 2011 model, and cirka 1 month ago it started getting a little irregular at idle and at low rpm.
Then i blew a spark plug, and figured it might been bad or too worn.
Next i went on a 2 hour Mud-fest Enduro, now bike got worse than before.
and the hose between the two sides of the gas tank popped off twice, spilling lots of fuel(Bike never ran out of fuel, it turned out the hose was routed above sparkwire, making it tight, so it would snap off easily).

After Race i figure i resolve the issue as fast as possible, a local Huskyboss told me to clean the throttle body and to check for mud.
As i cleaned it, beeing a noob to the Injection system i removed the MAQS sensor, containing the TPS sensor.
I later been told this was not such a good idea. :P

I also opened the fuel tank checking fuel filters, nothing in the filters, as brand new.
I used this link to reset the TPS:
http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/updated-tps-efi-reset-449-511.28801/
but there is not a noticable differance after reset( i tried resetting about 20 times).

So to get the bike started now, i need about 30% throttle opening to get started, and it's sounds terrible.
Trying to keep at steady rpm around 4-5000, the bike starts to pulsate.
just as it did in the race.
it will idle around max 3 seconds before suddenly dying.
It feels like maybe a failing fuel pump, i'm not sure.
could it also perhaps be the Coil?
I've also checked the circuits and cleaned these.

Anyone have any ideas what to check or what might be defective?
