• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sorry Bill, I love all that you do for Husky bikes. But "look great" is not a term I'd use to describe those gigantic fuel tanks. Give me something in a 4-4.5 gallon tank that fits the OEM plastics and looks stock, and I'm in!

Safari tanks are great for what they are, but to me, they totally butcher my reasons for buying this bike. I don't want to turn it into a KLR.

George at Up-Tite is working on a solution using a 610 IMS tank and external fuel pump.
ETA is not available. This will be another option that I'm considering.

i agree. i would love to have more range on my te but i am not prepared to go all out for the monster safari tank. perhaps for the occasional looong ride i would need that much fuel but 99% of the time it would be overkill. if they bought out something half way between (like the old ims tank) i would jump all over it. i use my bike as much for single track as i do open track.

X2 give me 4.5-5gl.

Plus it's about two times too much. I'll bet a lot more would 'live' with it for $350.
It doesn't look that bad. :busted:

Hey Bill
Just so we're clear, those are the same tanks that would fit the 08-10 EFI 610's right?
And if someone is interested in buying one, where on your site would he find the price?

The tanks are $770,after this weekend we are sold out of red,we have 1 white left. The distributor called last week trying to get the red one from us,so Im not sure if and when we can get more redbut will find out this week and restock if possible. They are not listed on the site because of limited availability.Yes they fit all FImTe610/sm/Te630/SMS630 models.Call toll free 888-806-1153 MON-SAT or email from contact info on www.billshusky.com

I sure hope these tanks come w/ very detailed instructions,,,

on how to convince your wife that you absolutely NEED one of these $770 tanks!

I was just informed that the 610/630s have different fuel pump mounting so tanks are identical outside,we have 1 Te/sm 610 in stk today ,we will be getting more ASAP.
