  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE arrow pipe on 09 SMR?

Husqvarna
AA Class
So I get a surprise call from my dealer the other day, they tell me a power-up came for my 510SMR and is ready for me to pick up. My bike already has the O2 sensor plug and resistor installed, it also has the non restrictive air filter cage, and the throttle stop removed. I though this was the SMR power-up. Perplexed I make the 50 mile drive down there, go to counter and the guy hands me an Arrow box. Sweet! So I rush home to see if the single exhaust obviously meant for the TE will bolt up to the SMR mid pipe. Of course it dose not so now I'm looking for a TE or maybe 08 SMR mid pipe to see if I can make this work. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. Thanks for reading.

Are you wanting to get rid of your dual exhaust and go single? PM if you go to to sell the p/u kit.

I'm just trying to find a way to run a pipe/pipes with no cats so I have have the option of running leaded/oxygenated race fuel at track days. Gutting the stock cans or just running race fuel is not an option for the fear of CA starting a smog test program for motorcycles. With no aftermarket exhaust being available for the 09 SMR and this TE pipe falling in my lap I thought I'd try yo make it work. If I can't figure out something with this pipe I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks for the reply.

Just buy a te midpipe and use the arrow supplied, then buy a number plate from an 08 to fill the empty exhaust side up. Maybe get an 08 sm subframe if you want it done clean and right..
