    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

hello, im yura..
im newbie, i ride te 250 for now.. i wanna know which one is better between te 449 vs te 511? and is there any power different between the 2012 model and 2013 model.. thanks, please help me to choose the better one.. :)
 
TE 511 is more powerfull. I can't imagine the 2013 having more power . If you ever want to race a 450 class you cannot with a 511.
 
Totally depends on whose riding it. Ten minutes on a group ride will clue someone into that fact.
 
The TE511 costs a little more than the 449, but you get 3.5 HP and 4 Ft Lbs of torque. The 449 gets slightly better fuel mileage and runs slightly cooler. Main difference between the MY12 and MY13 is the chain guide which you will end up replacing later with BRP or TM, some graphics and signal switch changes, charcoal canister, nearly nothing. The specifications below are for MY11, but are the same for 12-13, hp ratings are with akro option.

I have a 449 and my friend has a 511, both 2012's. i can tell no difference at all when we traded for a ride. In a drag race on dirt, who ever came out of the hole faster won. Neither could catch the other if one of us got the holeshot. I dont think u could go wrong with either bike imo.

Any idea on the HP difference between the TXC511 and theTE511
