  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi
Anybody got set up , riding tips for TE 449?
Had mine since May this year , great bike but Te 310 still looks appealing-- what do you think?$449 or 310-- I ride in Wales uk mainly wet enduros. Any advice, should I stay with the 449 or go 310 for next year?
As you can see I used to be indecisive but know i'm not sure!!

As much as I love my 511 the 310 would probably be better for anything called "wet enduros" as it is light and you don;t need power for that usually.

race the 310 up here in yorkshire, nice bike in the wet slop.did consider the 449 but its a bit on the heavy side and after 3-4 hrs navigating through the bogs i thought it would be a bit draining. but it all depends on how fit and how good a rider you are i guess!!! did this years dawn to dusk 24hr on the 310 and it never missed a beat

I recently got a 511, got to say im loving it at the moment, although i havent done any enduros yet.... im in Wales tooo

Pretty much EVERYONE who actually buys this bike loves it despite the mag articles and lack of love for it at the top of racing teams. It is a fantastic bike for us everyday riders.
