• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Am in uk but can post anywhere an if your a member here will do a good price on bits.
Oh it has been under a tarp for a few years so things like spoke nipples are rusty etc.

Cheers

I know it has been a long time since the original post, but if you are out there, I am definitely interested in spares and tools for my recently acquired 2000TE410....

Haha yeah but old now.
Think I've got the cylinder and gearbox in bits.
Scrapped the frame, may have the delorto carb.
I can have a dig about tonight if you like.

That would be awesome. I would definitely be interested in the cylinder if in good condition and the carby. Cheers!

So I've got a bit left have the cases too but i think the crank was seized in the left hand side, and damage to the clutch cable holder.

The damage on the cylinder is just noticeable my finger but may get away with a hone.

Not sure if the subframe I've got belongs to it or not.
Anyway the killer on this will be postage
Oh I've got the carb with the remote thingy on, cable needs repairing but looks like it's all there.

Hey thank you for taking the time and for the pictures. The cylinder has a very similar scoring like mine, so I will just have to replate it (Nikasil, 600 dollars here in OZ :( )
But if the carby is intact, I will certainly be interested, and fortunately it is the lightest thing of the lot to send, so postage should be ok.
What is the remote thing on the carby that you mention?

Think it's the remote choke.
Last time I got a cylinder replated here it cost £140
If you wanted me to get it plated here then send it to you I'm sure we can come up with a deal.
It would be waaaaaay less than 600 dollars and like new again.

Usually they require a piston to do the clearance with but these guys are #1 imo poeton they do F1 liners and areospace stuff.

Hello there, sorry for the late reply.
Gotcha, the remote choke, it took me a while to understand what it was when I removed the carby. You are correct about the 140 pounds, but when you add a new Wossner piston (250 dollars) and postage (I got quoted 80 dollars each way which is insane!!!) you'll figure out that its probably not far off the the figure I quoted. At the moment I'll try to replate my cylinder but I'd be happy to discuss the carby. Cheers, Les
