  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hello
i am looking to buy a new te 310 2011
i want to know what we have to do with the bike when we buy it ?

thanks

thanks, the skid plate is awesome !!

but , what i want to know is waht you do with the bike when you buy it , brand new .Most of the people tell me than we ha much to do to prepare the bike !

Check every screw, bolt nut, etc. for proper torque (give 'em some locktite if you don't want to replace a lot of them). It's a bit of a hassle but I'd re-grease the suspension and wheel bearings as well (especially the lower rear shock bearing). They seem to be lightly greased for a bike expected to go through every type of abusive terrain imagineable. I bought mine used and within a month replaced the front wheel bearings and every bearing in the suspension. I've had quite a few bolts disappear and several (including engine mount bolts) come loose.

Good dealer will do all that for you and put the power-up kit on. Make sure it's a good dealer who will actually do proper set-up not just say it's good. Otherwise would need to do as posted above, which is true of any bike you buy no matter the brand.
Husky 310 specific stuff is all previously posted if you do a search. Would want to be able to do efi adjustments either by dealer, I-Beat, or JD tuner. Much easier than changing jets once you figure it out. Where and how you ride makes a big difference what you do from there.
