  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey....new to the forum...currently a KTM guy looking for a light weight plated Euro bike so about to purchase the Husky.

Has anyone found the need to or installed the FMF Power Core 4 ? This mod was a good upgrade on the KTM so wondering about doing the same on the TE-250.

Thanks

I was looking at this but I got a full titanium Leo Vince for a good price. Better quality . Best thing was it was quieter than stock. Smoother power but hard to feel much difference in power apart from top end.
How'd you get your bike up/down from there ?

I put a fmf q4 on my 10 te250. I did not notice any power difference or any real sound improvement. The sound just had a different tone to it. The sock exhaust had a sound tone that irritated my ear, hence the change out. I was using the included sparky in the stock exhaust.

Thanks for the info guys.

The KTM is sitting on a Loft-It. The unit is a 4' by 8' platform that can hold up to 1200 lbs. Rails are mounted on the garage wall and the platLoft-It.JPG form goes up & down via an electric motor mounted under the platform. It only takes me a few minutes to change the bikes out and allows for more storage space..... i.e. more bikes.
Just put a deposit on a new 2010 TE-250......should be in the garage in the next few days
