• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC TC 2015+ fork guards

This is all random, but hang with me.

I saw the below pic listed as guards for a '15+ TC/FC, and I'm hoping some of my TC/FC owning friends can help me out. Are the bolts for those holes parallel? If so, how far apart are they? I would simply measure a buddy's bike, but the only guards I've noticed in the wild on friends' bikes are the same style as on my '08 250xc where the mounting bolts are not parallel and fit guards like shown in the 2nd pic.

BTW, I'm searching these for a set of '06 45mm shivers

The 45mm Marzocchi Shiver looks like this (pictured with a set from a '10 sms630 that would likely fit the ktm)

'18 TC 125...AER 48mm fork. front holes are pretty parallel and roughly 37.5mm apart. not sure if this helps.20180115_111226.jpg

I've got all those fork and guard combo's in the shop. Happy to do a test fit. What is it that you want to do?

I guess I'm looking for options. I found the part number for stock black guards. I've also found stock blue guards. I have not found an option for yellow or white. Also looking for something currently used so I don't get screwed when another oem number is dropped. If it looks like a simple bracket would make something work, great. The full wrap guards like the white ones in my original post don't fit well enough that I'd want to make a bracket. The front part seems easily enough done, but the rear bolt locations don't seem in a good spot for much of anything.

I guess pics of the guards like pvduke and teambowles posted on the shivers made like in my posting would be cool. TIA.
