• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ive always liked Huskys because they tend to be quite big against most other bike makes. Ideal as im 6 foot 6. Funny thing is i find my KDX220R one of the most comfy bikes ive ever owned over 34 years of riding.
So, i have 2 comfy bikes where i dont feel cramped up but they werent perfect.
My Husky has Enduro high bars and they could be a little higher for long distance standing up if im honest. Great when your sat down but the cables limit the rise i can get on the bike. The spacing on the clamps is different to the risers i have aswell so theyre no use anymore.
On my KDX i have Renthal fat bars, renthal clamps and risers and they are spot on.
If im honest the Husky is the better of the 2 due to the distance between the footpegs and the seat.
Anyway, how do other tall riders cope with their bikes. Im sure there are plenty of handy tips we could all share.

I am 6' 2" and normally run the fastway foot pegs in the lower position I think 1/2 inch. I have a spare guts racing tall seat but lately I have been trying to make due with the stock seat. I always hear tall riders running tall bars but to me a lower bar feels better. I run a Suzuki RM low Pastrana bend that I like. This also got rid of some arm pain I had from riding. Not sure if this is right but it works for me.

And this is my idea behind this topic. Not everyone is the same even when we have things in common.
Turning the clamps around was my first job glangston. Did change the clamps so i could use my risers but i liked the look of the originals hence going for the tallest bars possible.
Only thin that worries me about lowering pegs is ground clearance. Its very rutted over here. Maybe is over there but its something that sticks in my mind. Husqvarna are the best for this though:thumbsup:

The lower pegs worry me sometimes too honestly. Not so much for ruts but for rocks and trail trash. I have not had too much of a problem but I am a little more careful when it gets technical. I do like the pegs being back a little more similar to a trials bike and it opens up the shifter a little.

6 foot 2 ish in old money here. i use the husky bar clamp risers and turn the clamp to the front for more room and i find it perfect for standing up.

some bikes feel perfect for my height husky and yamaha being two, hondas and ktm for whatever reason feel way too low.
