• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Mine failed, after servicing the bike. Just did the TAT, did not miss a beat, go figure. After servicing and cleaning must have gotton water in the wrong spot.

Anyone replace these with a Husky part, or just go aftermarket?

I had the same problem. I replaced with stock, but cost $$. Later I found out it could be replaced with a cheaper aftermarket one.

Any idea which one? Eric's just went out and so he was putting mine on his to test it out and he ended up breaking mine :(
Now we need 2 of them...

Are you guys talking about the flasher relay? You can pick one up on eBay/local store for a few bucks, you dont need anything fancy just get an LED Flasher Relay with positive and negative leads. The stock one is under the left upper panel by the seat, small black box with a plug going into it. Unplug it, wire in your new one +/- and it should blink fine again, best of all if you go LEDs you wont blink fast. I couldn't get the stock one out of the rubber holder thing so I just left it.

EDIT: This one looks very similar to the one that came with my bike (uninstalled), but mine had long wire leads +/- on it, no plug. I'm gonna guess that most of these relays wont have the right plug anyways but with this one you would just cut the plug off, strip the wires and plug them into the bike side of the original relay. You dont need this exact one of course, just find something similar.

Thx everyone, just got the stock one from Halls at $30. Guess I have to make sure it was just the relay and not something else causing the relay to fail.
