• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have one and love it, was looking to install it on my bike last nite but cant find a place to mount it with the Flexxx bars on.

Not long enough unfortunatley, Works great without the cross bar pad but I want the cross bar pad.
Ill look at it from Starblades angle, that looks nice but may not work on the 449.

Hook the L bracket to the front of the front crossbar?

I want one but how do you get around fire road riding? The maps I have seen doesnt seem to have them just trails only or am i looking in wrong place?

You can map just about any roads you want, you just trace them and upload them. I use it for engine management and tracks back to the truck. Its perfect for me, will get better once I learn how to map with it.

You can load road maps to. It is semi EZ but you just get lines and names and the area is limited. There are various sites you can get road GPX files from and then you window and area and save it. Then load them from your PC to the mini SD and then load into the GPS. Works fine, have used it several times. It is limited compared to a Garmin or something but is designed more for bike info, ease of use, ease of mounting, and captures great info. Download your ride very EZ to Google earth and watch your ride. for that stuff it is fantastic. Love the temperature graph, voltage meters, elevation graphs and all the user assignable features. Tons of info and post ride info. thats what it is good at.

I would like to know this as well. Please post here, or PM me. I'd also need to know the shipping cost to Canada.

Thanks.

I just noticed in the first post that Kelly wanted an e-mail, so I just sent him one. I hadn't heard anything either.

I tried mine the way you suggested, I dont like having to look down so far to see the computor, I know, I need some cheese to go with my wine.

Flexx has informed me that they will have a mount that is similar to this http://www.trailtech.net/025-OEB.html
They told me to drill the forward crossbar and mount it there. I think Im going to try that, Ill cut around the pad to make it clean.

Mounted mine using provided handlebar mounts right below pad, works great.

Got mine yesterday and will be looking to mount it this week, really a nice looking "bling" item, my riding buddys discription . I'm thinking I should probabally also get one of the billet protectors . I wonder if there is a Husqvarna specific model available , anyone know ?:excuseme:

No, it is a universal mount. Should not be hard to get to work on the huskys.

Bling? Far from it, very useful tool.
