• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

There may be a reason why HNA relocated to Corona.;)

Did you mean to post in the Newsroom?
"Newsroom Bike Industry: press releases, magazine articles, rumors"

The main forum where the miscellaneous threads should go might be a better fit?

We have been getting rain on and off the last few weeks. Make it very tough for MX riding. Most of the tracks have been closed or just open one day a week. Looks like rain again this weekend....The only close (to me) place to ride when its muddy is Prairie City OHV. Here is a picture of the little mx track there, in the background is the Hangtown track, it will be closed for alwhile. Way to muddy.

Ajax you crack me up with your proud to be a Californian. I like dirt mixed with water, gets too dusty or like concrete without. It makes the trees grow closer together too. By the way, we ride here year round.

You are not fooling me either that Husky is moving to CA for better riding weather, obviously it has something to do with "Medicinal Reasons"...

If this thread really is about the new headquarters then the information will reasonably non-focused & not easy to find... and another more focused thread could be started in the Newsroom.

I'll move this over to the Main forum
Newsroom -> Main

When i got to work this morning and turned on my coumpter there
were pop ups about all the bad weather across the USA I was just feeling sorrie for all the people stuck in it .Just wait until this summer when we have a heat wave and you can remind me how hot it is
Calif has many problems just try to own a small bussness here
i quest one of the trade off is the weather

just got back from Va, all my connections led through Atlanta,,, 3 consecutive flights were cancelled after being pushed back hour by hour, spent the night in starbucks ORF (Norfolk) reading No Angel cover to cover, had to fly NY this morn to bypass the white out then NY to Dago but even had a 2 hour delay in NY, no crew to fly the plane, they all got tied up in the Atlanta snow. On final into Dago (note I just got through reading about HA so Dago slang name is on my mind) It was crystal clear and I could see all of our east county ride zones under 65 degree sunshine. nice!!! gotta drive the 405 thru LA tomorrow not so nice.......

That plate on the back of my TE lets me ride from the house year round here in CA. No wonder Husqvarna is moving to the 2nd Mediterranean climate on the planet. The So Cal climate to ride year round and all the So Cal MX tracks for exposure. Makes sense to me.

22 years ago Husky moved back East been in a freefall every since. Now with first moving back to Ca. it's going to turn around and scratch it's way back up to where it should rightfull be on top of the off-road market.
Yes new people to get to know and work with, so far best I've seen in over 20 years.
Looking forward to building new working relationships with them.
At least being out here they won't be snowed in and can't get to work, maybe a little because FWY's jacked up but can get to work.

The only thing Ca. has going for it is the weather where we can ride and race 12 months out of the year. And sooo much to ride on + Baja just few hours away where it is endless riding. Just not enough time.
What's sad but a little heartwarming are the posts and Vid's where guys are riding in the snow or out testing on wet pavement snow on the ground just to get some seat time in.

Here in Ca.just about everything else sucks, never got into the Politically correct crap too many fags, elligal immigrants, state local gov freeloaders, burned out hippie liberal lawmakers.
So that leave about 10% of the population here in Ca. that are worth a S&%$ problem is only about .02% ride Huskys. So say whatever about Ca. but there is that .02% you don't want to offend.
Have a wonderful Christmas

Any forecasts on the quakes out there? Too wet? ok ... but who said so? Is this a red-green tag thing?
Nice to have a foreign country (baja) so close to go have a good time in I'm sure ... Need a passport going over the border there? Is it 'Happiness is Cal in my rear view mirror' ?

Just a little History lesson for today.

Back in 1850 that's 160 years ago.

California became a state

-The people had no electricity.
-The state had no money.
-Most everyone spoke Spanish.
-There were gunfights in the streets.

So basically nothing has changed except the the women had real boobs......and the men didn't hold hands.

That's your histroy lesson for today.
