• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sump plug washer sizes

Husqvarna
AA Class
i know the bolts are m22 and m14 but has anyone got the outer dimensions and thicknesses for the crush washers? wanna buy some bulk and get the right sizes and don't have any spare to measure.

cheers

anyone?? someone must have these washers knocking about somewhere...!

i've tried phoning a dealer (pretty much the only one in the uk) but they weren't forthcoming with the info. probably because they want to carry on charging me £1.50 per washer...

Since you already know the ID just measure outside of bolt head and order that size for OD. Thickness isn't that critical, just need enough metal to be able to deform some and seal. I think 2mm would be a safe guess.

Have been using a new leather washer every other oil change for the last couple years.
Making them with a hole punch and a hammer from fairly soft leather. Coming loose has not ever been an issue-which I had thought might happen.

Suppose if the bolts are torqued up it's all good. In 5-6000 miles I haven't had 1 problem with a bolt loosening. Quite the opposite of what I was lead to believe with owning a thumper. Good little husky.

got the OE washers through so thought i'd post the measurements for them in case anyone ever searches here for it...

M14 - outside diameter 21mm / Thickness 1.25mm
M22 - outside diameter 28mm / Thickness 1mm
