  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sumo-nization of my TE449...

*Update*
Changed the rear sprocket to a 42T. Much better.
Installed a magnet from an enduro computer company. Speedo works but is quite optimistic, which I had expected. I will find out what speed Im actually doing so I can gauge it...Kentucky windage, if you will.
Im fine with that.
And now..to get that breather installed...

i have but one regret in life. not getting one of them big new husky's to sumo up. god those are killer bikes.

and you have a sofa in yer garage son....that or a lota bike sht in yer living room.

Haha yeh I got a new couch and had that sitting there to store it. Ended up being there almost a year cuz my buddies would come over and sit on it with their smelly leathers.
Many critiques given to me while working on people's bikes, smart@ss remarks, and a few beer induced naps were made/had on that couch.

bench racings cool. so is smak talk. til ya slide inside in the twisty stuff and braaap! cya!

I got a lesson one day down at Deal's Gap. Been goin there for years. Was hittin a turn somewhere before the Gravity Cavity thinkin I was hot shit on my R1 and got passed on the inside by a chick on a KTM supermoto. Turns out "Suzie" was a CCS road racer and was part of the ISDE all female team from years ago so I didnt feel so bad. But...ive never gone back to the Dragon with anything but a supermoto since that trip.
