• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Using the 220 lately. Don't want to wear Bentley The KDX out.:D I'd even ride my 450 out there, but the other bike is not going to be a dualsport bike either, so I'm taking a "little" bike.

I couldn't get over some of the News and weather reports.....its got to have set some records for rainfall

hope it dries out

supposed to rain after noon or so on Christmas. I'm hoping that gets delayed about 4-5 hours so I can spend the day riding at Hollister... :)

hehehehe- you guys and your decision based on rain. ahhh..what a luxery that would be. growing up racing and riding in the PNW I have tried every concievable goretex and waterproff stuffs. Theres simply no so thing for dirt biking. Waterproof simply means it keeps water in. Just go and be cold/wet and miserable and have a great time...the mud and rain makes it more of a challenge. lol

There's an old saying from 1 of our golden masters riders in our club(DER) it goes like this;a little rain just makes a good race /ride into a great one.:cheers:Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to all.

I rode out there on the last day of the rain and it was epic, then rode out there again yesterday. Bluebird skies and perfect dirt. Was a Cafe Husky wrecking crew of SanDhusky, Dirt Diva and myself, even if only one of us was riding a Husky.:busted:

I am running Dunlop MX51's, with Michelin Bib Mousses...

They seem to be a great all around tire. Used them at Idaho 2 Day Qualifier, Tecate Enduro and they held up really well. The mousses are holding up well inside the Dunlops as well.

Good, after the rain, ride. Thanks Dirt Dame and Dirt Diva
