• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi Guys,

My SMR511 got stolen last night from my house in Hawthorn. Its a 2011 model got white hand guards and black axle knobs. If any one sees it around please let me know I want my baby back, I do not want to go through all the crap with the insurance company just want my bike back.

Thanks

Oh man that really sucks. I hope you catch the dirty A-hole that stole your bike and get your baby back.:banghead:

Terrible news mate, Hope the scum that stole the bike suffer a painful slow death!
I'll keep a look out for it, maybe post up a pic here as well.

Go here and register the bike as stolen
http://www.stolendirtbikes.com.au/

Also post up on dirtriderz and Amtra and if you want to waste some time DBW as well.
Hope you get your bike back soon

Update: Got a call from the cops the other day saying they found my bike. My insurance company has paid me out so the bike is no longer mine and don't think I wont to buy it back as it is just going to get stolen again. However anyone looking for cheap SMR511 that has been well looked after might be able to get a bargin. It was insured through swan insurance not sure where they have the auctions etc but might be worth someones time to find out.

Hey Philfy20 -

Your ex bike has a new home now. I picked her up from Manheims Auctions in Melb a few weeks ago. Bar a flat battery and about 4kg of finger print dust was in good nick. All cleaned up and prepping for some action at Mac Park just over the SA border here in Mt G. She's in a happy loving home now sleeping next to my TE449. Hope they caught the pr*ck that stole it and cut his nuts off.
