• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stickers redone on my SM610 (pic heavy)

Virginian

Husqvarna
AA Class
As some of you know I just bought this bike a little while ago and the stickers were pretty scabbed up. I did some research and found an outfit that would do what I was looking for. I was looking for something different than the usual lightning bolts, farts & darts. This is what I came up with and I really pleased with how it came out. They are super heavy duty!!!

I spoke with a real nice guy on the phone at Magik S.C. and he said no problem. They've never done a SM610 before so I mailed them all my plastic and he now has the pattern if you would like to do something custom a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing stock stickers that well... don't stick very well. Turn around time was a bout a week, and the price was cheap at half the price. I hope you like them! Here's Tyler's contact info if you have any interest:

That's cool, so is the license plate :D
So how does the process of custom stickers work?
Is there a template you can play with to see what works for you?

Thanks! The license plate was kind of a funny story. I go into DMV and request the tag. The young lady say... errrr..... ummmm.... I'm not sure you'll get these tags. I said, let me guess, you're looking at me like a Walmart greeter right about now? She was like errrr.... ummm... well kinda... I said the bike is a Super Motard. She said too bad you couldn't get Super Tard! LOLOL

Back to your question. Tyler has the template to fit this bike now. Just call him and tell him exactly what you want to do. I had a vision of the stock Husky logo kind of smashing into little H logos. With the red, black and white plastic it proposed a problem. He has you email him exactly (as best you can) what you are looking for. He has software that he manipulates the pattern for your bike and sends you a proof. So you get to see the final product before it's done. WHen you get to where you want it, sign off on it and a week later it's on your doorstep.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Wonder if it would suit the blue/yellow 610......
Friend, you can do anything your hearts desire. Any color, any font, any graphic, etc. Take your time and think outside the box. Come up with something different that everyone doesn't have. Good luck and post up what you come up with!

Two other points of interest. They were able to attach stickers to radiator shrouds. I spoke in detail to him about this. My concern was the beaded surface and would stickers stay attached? He said no problem, we do it all the time. Second item is he sent me stickers for each side of the swing arm. I Haven't installed them yet but here's the stickers. They also have diecut holes for the bolt/stopper prefabbed on them.

I had to trim them a bit. Here's what I trimmed off. Tyler and I were guesstimating the dimensions over the phone as best we could. I'm very happy with the outcome.
