• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stalling/Fuel Pump Orange wire

proeasy

Husqvarna
AA Class
I reported yesterday that my 08 TE-510 was stalling during decel after I installed the PU kit. Looked at a few things and decided to pull the fuel pump and found the zip tie not to be holding the pump in place. I will go with the length wise zip tie solution.

However noticed they orange wire comeing from the inernal harnes not securred to anything on the other end. Looks like it should be solderd to what looks like a resistor.

Any one know where the orange fuel pump wire connects to or has a good picture of it?

Thanks

If it's the wire circled in Red, it does go to the low fuel level sensor.

A few folks have reported broken wires on the fuel pump assembly and have had success reconnecting them. Search "fuel pump" or "low fuel light" or similar.

Hope this helps!

I see you broke the red fitting. George at UP_TITE racing has a fix for it. Call him and send him the hole think. He will fix.

Actually, I grabbed the pic from another rider's post. I'm paranoid as hell every time I take the tank off that I'll slip. Good to know there's a solution in case I do have an oopsie.

Is it a solution / part he can ship to Australia as I have just broken mine in the start of my racing season. Over here the dealers are stating you can't buy the plastic elbow separately and have to buy the whole pump at $1200 Australian. I am hoping to be able to get the elbow from motoxotica if I can't get it from R&D Huskie. The support from the local dealers are sheeit(I'm not friggen happy)

I've read the mod you can do and have the metal 3/8 elbow but when the guy that was going to tap the thread measured the internal diameter he reckons there is only 1mm each side and good chance of cracking. So if he stuffs it, tuff luck for me.

Am I correct in saying you can still buy these elbows in the states, I have to wait until 7.00 am Australian time to call the states tomorrow, just don’t want to get my hope up until then.

Sorry quite a few questions amongst the rant.
