• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What's everyone use....

The ground here is very hard clay base that gets extremely wet if not by rain but by creek crossings....

I can get these for cheap so I'd like to use these if I can find something that works....

I have Millville on my 14 te300 now...

I'm ok with the front it's done nothing scary

The rear gets good straight away traction under braking and acceleration but side traction is baaad

Check out the "new tires" and "x30" threads in this same forum. I've got a Millville front but haven't tried it yet. Last year during the dry months I put a Parker DT on the rear of my wr300, worked great on the fire roads, but was so sketchy in the woods I had to replace it. Was planning to try a Millville II rear 120/100-18 next.
I'm wanting to get by as cheaply as possible for practice and fun riding, but am suspicious of anything that's too cheap. A price point of @ $70 gets me Metzeler, IRC and even Maxxis in the sizes I like, so far.
I see quite a few off-road pro's flying the Kenda flag, but wonder what they are actually running. Saw a good shot of DeLong recently and looks like Millville II front and rear.
I'm very happy with Maxxis EN front and IRC VE33 rear at the moment.

The Millville II rear is a little sketchy on off chamber I'm thinking washougal or triple sticky or even the trials cross over deal...

Front was pretty good and didn't slide on diagonal roots and rocks

They are a major sponsor for a few racing series and that's about all I know. Some of the really fast guys and pros use them, but they get free fresh ones every race and most of those guys could go fast on a bald used tire.
