Im searching around for a new headlight and wanted to see if anyone was running this on their wr300. I was also looking into the the polisport hmx dual led but the reviews were not so great

I have one on my 610. It's awesome. BD somehow managed stuff a small sun in there. It destroys the Rigid Industries light I have on my 165.

A simple flat plate with properly placed holes mates it to the stock Husky headlight bracket.

That came out really good. I just have to see if my stock stator can handle that.

If it can't support the Pro at 42 watts, the Sport only uses 20 watts. It uses a less powerful led (XP-G2 vs XML2) but is still silly bright (I have a helmet light with xp-g2's in it).

Or an S2 which is the same as a Pro but cut in half.

Ouch! It better be good A WR should support 42W, stock was more than that.
The "Sport" version is reasonable. Good info, I need a headlight.

I think I'm going to go with the sport, the price is better and using less power to be on the safe side.

Well Baja designs just called me and told me that I need to run a battery and a dc conversion kit to run leds. So I guess I'm screwed and the search goes on...

An R/R and a battery aren't that expensive I have the trailtech R/R and the smallest Shorai they make in my 165.

I have been running the Polisport HMX for a couple years now. Its a great light. Waaay brighter than stock, but not as bright as the BD. Just depends on what you are after and your budget. I actually just broke mine, no fault of the light, and plan to replace it with another.

Lots of other threads here and around the 'net. You don't need a battery to run the LED lights, just the Reg/Rectifier and enough output from your stator.
For nearly the same price the BD Sport version will be my choice, just have to fit it in the stock headlight. The Polisport sounds just ok, too many complaints, not waterproof/sealed!, etc. Sounds like those of us with the newer Ducati ignition need a switch to turn the light off during starting.
Just search for headlight topic here in the 2t forum and all ? should be answered.
If you're night riding/racing you'll need more light, but if like me you just need to find your way back @ 20w LED should be fine.

No just plug and play for mine. I cut the wires off my stock 09 wr300 and crimped on connectors. Then crimped on connectors to the wires coming off the headlight. This way I can take it off and switch back and forth between the light and number plate.

Heres a few pics. It looks good and is pretty bright. Way brighter thank stock. It isn't sealed that is correct. So I took the lens off and siliconed it. That would really be my only complaint, personally. Either of those lights is going to be a vast improvement over stock. The BD may be a bit higher quality, I don't know too much about it. They both look better.

I have the same...Gets me out of trouble and safer than the stock light but thats about it.

Probably get my stator re-wound and end up with one of these I reckon...
