  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I was hoping somebody on here would know what thread that my 07 WR has on the spoke nipples, i need to replace some

M4x.7 if I remember right. Thats what SMR spokes had and I'm sure its the same for all the husky models. Let me look for the tap and verify that. It wasnt an awfully common size.

Another FYI, most if not all the spokes and stuff made in the aftermarket are gauge size if I'm not mistaken.

I might have a few extra nipples laying around too, I can check to see if they're still here..

For future reference, you could always undo it and leave the nipple in the wheel, pinched down by the tube, and slide the spoke out the hub to use to measure

Might be a few hours before I can report back with the answer, But I'll let ya know asap.

Sorry for the delay, I haven't found any nipples but I'm still looking. As for the threads, they are M4.5x.75

Thanks for the reply's, if I can break one loose i with check with my pitch gauge, I just don't want to wreck another, just like to have them on hand so i can replace them. I'm running a tubeless system, need to get the replacement rim tape before I start pulling them out

just got some OE nipples and spokes for my '07wr- dealers will have them in stock

Not my dealer, he couldn't even find a linkage kit for my bike, I even gave him a part # and he said he couldn't get it. The problem is that existing dealers are trying to take on Husky with no knowledge of the bikes, it's great they are selling them but with no support.
