• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

  • 1993 - Jacky Martens, Motocross World Champion, 500 cc class.

  • 1999 - Alessio Chiodi, Motocross World Champion, 125 cc class
Jacky Martens 1st 4T to win since Jeff Smith on a BSA..Jeff's 1965 championship win on the four cycle BSA would be the last victory for this type of motor, as two cycle technology dominated off road racing for the next several decades....ya still think Yamaha started the modern 4T MX revolution.

Thanks for the listing but history is a fickle thing ... Most of us can't remember the last race must less the champion from last yr ...

That 449 bike won a SM championship also then the previous owners canned that entire SM operation.

--

Meo won on a 250cc and 310cc bike? The 250cc 4t bikes are being driven off the map also as we speak...

449 never won any world championships. the xlite has 3 world championships, yes

Mauno Hermunen won something on one of the theses bikes in the SM stuff ... This was at the very beginning of the BMW, CTS saga bikes; husky had dominated the SM stuff in EU up to this point ... It proved to me the CTS was not totally bad on streeters at least...

Good Call Boogie I forgot, Matt Phillips another Italian Husky Champ that was instantly scooped up by Farioli factory KTM enduro squad for the following season, there is a long list. ( Norm's forever observation on the very smart business savvy Farioli KTM and or Factory KTM enduro camp)

PS EJ 2013---then E3 champ 2014 on a KTM300XC-W PDS bike

We'll have to see if CH Racing Team Sherco, will continue as the KTM Farioli Farm Team..... Azza has a great eye for talent. If KTM gets serious about the EWC Women's Championship, I'd imagine they would poach Jess Gardiner from CH Racing.
