  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So what TE ECU do I have??

Dangermouse449

Husqvarna
Pro Class
So, I've made my mods & the bike is happy, but in the original thread, I mentioned that it had warranty work & they had changed the ECU.
It didn't fix the problems at the time but I noticed the P/no. it isn't a listed number for Australia.
As I recall, the dealer got it from the importer to try.
I have no idea what programming is running on it until I get to the dealer & plug in.

A bit of searching shows the number come up in only a couple of places.
Perhaps it is an old 'base' part number that was separated out into 449/511/different markets later. Maybe it's an older BMW no....... ?????

The part number on the current ECU is - 8A00H3182
(Item 12 in the lists - electronic device):)

Below is what i found so far.

- Hall's Cycles online catalogue lists this old number for my year, but with no differentiation for 449/511, UK/USA/AUS etc

This is our parts catalogue for Aus market showing 449/511 & overseas models as well. (The P & M at the head of the part line is for 449 & 511).

This is for the newer models, 2012 just to see if the number came back....

Does the new ECU have a VIN printed on it? The owner's manual has some breakdown of the VINs I believe. Might be able to find some more info that way.
