• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC So I smoked a 570 today

Husqvarna
AA Class
Mate on a Ktm 530 with a Husaberg 570 kit in it wanted to see what my 16 te300 was like in a straight line...
I swapped out the dealer pre delivery shite jetted carb with the manual settings which was leaner bottom fatter main and leaner needle as it was very lean up top and put the red spring in pv and WOW,
Second gear race starts ( bit nervous of that one) smoked him
Rolling on from first .... Smoked him
Any hilly technical riding his sweats so quickly and has to sit and wait to cool or find open space to cool off.
But mine and tops out at 145 kph
And his keeps going if long enough area..

Hardest part is getting traction to the ground and not wheelieing.
One of the local places I ride has a dirt drag strip. I was doing some rolling starts by myself when a group of kids on race four wheelers called me out to race .

Smoked em all and some kid on a 125 not surprisingly.
My bike may be more powerful, but those kids weigh 100 lbs less!

Also going to durhamtown ga memorial day weekend. Dirt drag strip there as well. Will be racing my brother on his KTM 250. Should be close if not the same if experience tells me anything.

Fun to do some drag races, I am not very good at it and it takes more skill to get the power down than I would have thought. If your mate trusts you, and vice versa, the real deal is to race and then switch bikes, then race again to take the rider out of the equation. Will do so with my brothers, but there are not many others that I will let do this!

I like that idea, we have swapped b4 and he's certainly unco on mine.
His is awkward and no way as nimble but Bugga me if you game to twist the wrist hard it pulls harder than a 16 year old!!
It was a hard pack short grass paddock and he had a new tyre,
But he can ride that thing bloody good.
My rule to anyone that asks for a ride on mine is I get to take there wife / partner out for coffee and they return same condition as my bike..
