    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Had a bizaar episode with my '12 TXC310 yesterday. Background: It's been cold here for weeks, but the bike is in a heated garage and has been started every week. No problens. Yesterday I started the thing per usual ritual, it idled fine for a couple of seconds (never touched the throttle). Then it began to pop and hiccup, then finally died. I stabbed the starter again and snap, crackle, pop. Never did refire. I haven't taken a deep dive into it yet due to lack of time. But, I've got to admit I'm totally bewildered. The possible scenerios for this are almost limitless, but I'm all ears regardless, if anybody wants to chime in or give their nickel's worth.
 
Shouldn't be bad gas. It's started weekly and kept in a heated garage. As a matter of fact I used some of the same gas from the can, poured in a little BELRAY MC1, and took my KDX out in the woods. Ran like a champ. Battery terminals are good. No problem with cranking power either. The EFI whirs llike it should and the motor turns over strong. Just no fire. Unless you count the occasional pop. Quite dumbfounded, me is.
 
so ya got fuel, did you verify that the nazzle sprays?? so ya got compression? you need ignition, start from the plug and go back plug cap, wire, coil, Ignition unit (ECU?).
 
I ran some race gas for a while in mine that had ethanol in it. I had the tank off doing some other work and when I pulled the fuel line I noticed little goo balls in the line. When I buttoned everything back up I ran some SeaFoam through it and it cleaned everything up. I dump a little fuel stablizer and 2-stroke oil into every can of gas now and no further problems (knock on wood).
 
Enough spark at the cap to make you wet your britches! So, I thought, what the hell. Maybe it fouled a plug. Which would be a first for me and this 4 stroke. After performing several Houdiniesqe contortions the new plug was in. M*ther F*cker****************************************! The thing fired right up. A freeking fouled spark plug. Go figure. Let me apply the Dumbass Ointment myself please.
