• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thought I'd post some pic's of the new wheels.
Fit up was pretty good.

Looks nice, dig the black, but what was wrong with the stock wheels??? Just the color?
No cush drive on the stock wheels. Most other high dollar SM's come with a cush set up stock.
I've owned about all of them in the past. The Husky 610 was my first SM and the best IMO.
So now I'm back where I started with a Husky and love it. The're selling these bike so cheap
now even with a new set of wheels the're much less than a KTM or Aprilia.

Stock width. Don't need the chain clearence issues. Bike doesn't have enought power to need a larger rear tire.
Just makes it turn in slower.
I have yet to hear from those who changed to 5" about chain clearance issues or slower turn in and I would think it's worth it just for the way better tire selection in the 160 section then the 150...

Love the black rims

My old Aprilia SXV had a 180 rear. That was the only bike I've had that could use that large a rear tire. Agreed the
fat rubber looks cool but most all the road racing SM's them seldom run tires that large. I've run Pilot Powers on most
all my SM's for years now. I find they're sticky enough and wear very well. Getting hard to get now though. But if you
look you can still find them. Luckily I still have a few sets to use up.

Any more details on the wheels? Where purchased and how much?
I ordered directly from Radd. Came in less than 2 weeks. You can configure the price online. Lots of options.
They did discount the online price when I placed the order. Only problem I had with the install was the front caliper
hit the spokes by a very small amount. I hit the edge of the caliper with a disc grinder and everything was fine.
