  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

SMR510 Dyno Results!!

HSMRDave

Husqvarna
B Class
Finally got the old girl strapped to the Dyno at my local shop.
The 510 is running a full Leo Vince twin Ti/Carbon exhaust with a K@N filter and drilled side panels, as well as a PCV and Autotune with the AFR set at 13.2 across the range.
Not a bad result really (IMO), with a nice power and torque curve with just over 54 HP at the rear, there is a slight spike in the torque curve as you can see, so the real peak is more like37/38Lbft rather than the 39.2 stated.
The operator said that he monitered the AFR during the run, and the Autotune was working great as it kept the ratio at the desired level throughout the rev range.
I know that a few people have had a few problems with the Autotune, however I cannot speak highly enough of them, (either could the operator)
Couldn't really ask for more from the standard motor I think, and the only thing that I may do in the future is do a 530 kit, but that would only be when/if I ever need a top end rebuild.

Very Nice!

Can you post the AFR curve. Interest in seeing how well the Autotune worked.

Thanks

That would have cost me a further £15, so instead the operator offered to moniter it during the run, and said it worked faultlessly, keeping the AFR at the set 13.2 throughout the rev range:thumbsup:
He couln't speak highly enough of the PCV and Autotune to be fair:D

Seems like great rear wheel HP to me.
I didn't think they were too bad for an 08 SMR, I managed to dig this out for a 2008 SMR against a couple of Apes, the 2008 SMR had an Arrow pipe and an i Beat tune apparently.

dont think a 08 smr510 with arrow and powerup wil only have 47 if running right

just pull out old dynosheet for my standard 08 smr510
standard exhaust , NO powerup chip, 50.45bhp
bike was horrible to drive , no torque, stalling alot,

just gutted standard exhaust and fitted powerup chip
feels like a differant bike ,no stalling , can shortshift, leaner power everwhere, the peak bhp now can not be more than3-4bhp up on before but it feels like 10bhp at the seat
